There is recent concern that planets such as Earth far from being spread throughout this Galaxy may be extremely rare exceptions and that life has continued to develop for millions of years with only a few serious threats is another rarity - which brings into focus that possibility that life on Earth may be unique.

With this in mind and the inherent unsuitability of Modern man or even historical Mans suitability for permanent existence on this planet.

Every aspect of mans progress is really aimed to extend life to other planets, and that means of progress is reaching its limits on Earth - it could very well be that the very longterm future of man is to leave this planet altogether so that Life on Earth can progress and reach another destiny for another life-form.
